PRODUCT DESCRIPTION POLYETHYLENE (PE)
The refuse bags supplied by us are made of polyethylene. Polyethylene is polymerised ethylene gas extracted from crude oil.
Polyethylene is part of the chemical hydrocarbon series and is physiologically harmless!
(not to be confused with PVC - polyvinyl chloride).
During the combustion of PE only carbon and hydrogen are generated - these are natural components of our atmosphere
When disposed of in landfill sites, PE is absolutely ground water-neutral, harmless to plants, corrosion-resistant, unplasticized and unaffected by water.

SCIENTIFIC EXAMINATION BY THE FEDERAL ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCY, BERLIN
ADVANTAGES of PE bag vis-à-vis paper:
| 1. | The production of paper requires up to 90% more energy |
| 2. | In addition to petroleum, approximately 2 kg of wood are consumed per kg of paper. |
| 3. | Higher air and waste water contamination: |
| - 3 times more carbon monoxide is generated | |
| - 6 times more nitrogen oxide is generated | |
| - 13 times more sulphur dioxide is generated | |
| 4. | Storage requires 2-3 times more volume and correspondingly more energy for transport. |
| 5. | During the combustion of paper, soot is generated. Polyethylene has a higher calorific value, so that additional energy is saved during production! |
CONCLUSIONS: POLYETHYLENE IS AN ENVIRONMENT-FRIENDLY PLASTIC MATERIAL
